Laser cutting

State-of-the-art laser cutting technology gives us great flexibility in production. Their enormous productivity and capacity allow us to fulfil orders (even large scale orders) almost immediately within a few days.

For laser cutting, we use laser cutting machines LT9 5kW, LT 9 Combo 3KW and LC5 ADIGE-SYS for cutting metal sheets and profiles, LT8.2 for cutting tubes, pipes and profiles, Eagle iNspire 20kW with complete automation and a storage tower and, finally, laser machine Eagle eVision 20kW.

Our tube laser cutting machines allow us to cut circular, square and rectangular tubes, including C, U and L profiles and strips and other special profiles requested by customers. We can cut all profiles at an angle that to the 3D cutting head of the LT8.2 machine. We can also cut highly reflective materials such as aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, steel and others.

The advantages of cutting tubes and profiles with a laser include:

  • high burr-free cutting precision
  • minimum material waste
  • processing of tubes up to a diameter of 240 mm, square, rectangular and other profiles with a side length of up to 200/200 mm
  • maximum rod length of 6,500 mm
  • maximum weight of piece - 42 kg per metre

We perform laser cutting of almost all types of sheet metal. We most often use nitrogen for cutting, even for thicker materials, to prevent an oxidation layer from forming on the metal parts - cutting edge, which must be sandblasted or ground for subsequent operations such as welding, painting, etc. This also reduces heating and twisting of the materials. Parts generally don't need to be straightened after cutting. This significantly saves production costs and eliminates the need for certain subsequent operations.

  • structural, carbon and low-alloy steels up to a thickness of 50 mm
  • alloy steel, corrosion-resistant steel (stainless steel) up to a thickness of 50 mm
  • aluminium alloys up to a thickness of 50 mm
  • reflective materials copper, bronze, brass, tinned sheets, etc.

We keep a wide range of materials in stock - stainless steel, aluminium, zinc, anodized zinc and S235 and S355 grade iron, all in different thicknesses and formats.

The price depends on the thickness of the material, the number of holes, the complexity of the geometry and quantity, and even on long-term serial cooperation. We will be happy to send you a quick and accurate price quote. Requests should contain a technical drawing in DXF or DWG format, or an STP model, material thickness and quality, the number of pieces, information about serial production and contact details. .

General description:

The combined CNC centrum LT9 Combo for cutting steel, which our company bought in 2013, is a unique system which holds an undisputed record as regards processing speed and efficiency.

  • It is a system for laser cutting of round, square, rectangular tubes, including open profiles and sheets of various sizes
  • The tube is fully supported on the loading and unloading lines by universal supports which adapt to the different tube sizes without the need for any exchange mechanical parts.
  • Reduction of the maintenance costs due to the less complex design of the laser source and the optic path.
  • Processing of highly-reflective materials such as copper and brass, opening up new potential markets that until now have been excluded from the laser cutting process
  • Possibility to cut tubes in a fully automatic mode, including loading, of up to 6500mm and processing of large steel sheets with various configurations up to 3000 x 1500m
  • Ability to cut C, U ,L type profile, including a 3D programming software.
  • Performances: mild steel up to 20 mm with excellent quality, aluminium cutting (series 6060 and 1050) and stainless at high speed, copper and brass cutting up 5 mm.

This technology can process large steel sheets with various configurations up to 3000 x 1500mm, but always compatible with the tube machining; changeover time from sheet to the tube working and vice versa less than 5 minutes.

Tube processing:

LT Combo holds an undisputed record as regards processing speed and efficiency. We can laser cut tubes of round, square and rectangular shapes in the sizes described in the below table in fully automatic regime. The tubes being processed are supported by two self-centering mandrels with eight jaws that guarantee a high processing accuracy. A precision range-finder helps to compensate the faults of the raw material.

Sizes Min Max
Round tubes (diameter) 16 mm 225 mm
Square 16x16 mm 160x160 mm
Rectangular 16x16 mm 200x100 mm

The movement of both chucks allows the tube to be machined along its entire length without a front trim or rear scrap end. A very important characteristic, especially for highly expensive profiles of big sizes.

Sheet processing:

The use of linear motors guarantees dynamic performance that place the LT9 Combo in direct competition with the best systems available on the market, bringing for maximum quality, reliability and productivity. The fully proven cutting technology contained in the parameters data base supplied with LT Combo Fibre evolves from over 10 years experience in the laser cutting applications by ADIGE-SYS technicians.

LS5 laser
LS5 laser

In 2014 the company KLEMAT CZ has bought a laser machine for sheet processing LS5, which is adapted for the installation of a profile processing module. This is a fiber laser technology - IPG - YLS 3000. Power: 3000 W

Processed material:

  • Maximum cutting dimensions 3000 x1500 mm
  • Thickness of the material – up to 15 mm

LS5 has two automatically changeable tables for sheet processing, an optical laser source and there is no need for regular servicing.

Therefore, we can process highly-reflective materials such as copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel etc., which opens up new potential markets that until now have been excluded from the laser cutting process.

EAGLE iNspire

EAGLE iNspire is currently hands down the fastest laser in the world that is at least one class above its competition. It is a highly dynamic and productive high-end laser cutting centre with the following properties:

  • As the only laser centre in its category, it uses exclusively linear drives in all three X/Y/Z axes. Positioning downtimes are reduced to a minimum thanks to a simultaneous speed of up to 350 m/min and an axis acceleration of 60 ms-2 (6g)
  • The machine's frame is made from cast polymer concrete (synthetic granite), which has up to a hundred times higher vibration damping coefficient and ten times lower thermal longitudinal expansion than a steel frame
  • The traverse bridge with the cutting head is a very hard carbon - Kevlar structure with maximum strength and extremely low weight. This structure positively affects cutting accuracy and provides unrivaled axis dynamics
  • The eVa cutting head was completely developed by EAGLE. From the very beginning, it was conceived for a solid-state laser, so it is perfectly sealed and is characterised by the highest distance between the protective glass and lens and the metal sheet, which extends its service life
  • IPG Photonics solid-state sources provide maximum performance, efficiency and operational reliability. They offer an entire spectrum of sources from 1 kW to 20 kW. The sources also have integrated cooling from IPG Photonics
  • Extremely fast pallet table replacement, with a total replacement time of 9 seconds for the format, further reduces downtime

EAGLE eVision 20kw is a very productive, flexible and versatile laser cutting machine with the following features:

  • It is the only laser cutting machine in its category to have exclusively linear actuators in all three axes X / Y / Z. Time lost during positioning is eliminated to the lowest extent thanks to a simultaneous speed of up to 180 m/min and an axis acceleration of 30 ms -2 (3g)
  • The traverse with the cutting head is a very rigid steel structure with maximum rigidity and relatively low weight. This primarily improves cutting accuracy and axis dynamics
  • Solid-state media from IPG Photonics YLS series ensure maximum performance, efficiency and operational reliability. With a 20kw power source, it can cut almost all materials up to a thickness of 50 mm. We use nitrogen in almost all cases for most material thicknesses.
